A small party.

Some weeks ago when I met Hsin Yeow at Bevlyn’s EP release at Esplanade, I mentioned about having them over my place for BBQ. Well, we finally had it today. It was a pretty cosy party, with guys from A Little Dream (Hsin Yeow, Bevlyn, Jonathan, Matthew, Hu Bing and Ein Ein), Gabriel, Ron, Kelvin and Ead popping by. The kids were well entertained by the dogs (it’s 3 on 3) while the adults were busy with some nice BBQ food from The Butcher (off Holland V).

Here are some photos taken by Gabriel,

I kinda like the idea of small BBQs. Will be planning more in the near future:)

She’s so sweet:D

After having extremely late dinner last night, I dozed off in front of the TV. Halfway through my sleep, Tammy came up and put her head on my chest. Such a darling:D Only if I can keep her. Those coming next Monday will get to see her 😀

Going to take a nap now… getting sleepy…

My valentine’s day

Ok, since everyone’s talking about valentine’s day, I had mine too. And it was pretty… hmmm… scandalous:P I had Tammy to stay over my place for a couple days and yes, she’s spending Valentine’s Day with me and the boys:D We took some pictures… and had a rather explicit video clip taken as well. Here goes…

Sze Min and Garreth

My memories of Sze Min and Garreth,

– Pacific Coffee

– Red Dot Musuem

– I was late (can’t remember why)

– Garreth sent me room service menu 2 weeks before wedding

– First time I ordered anything other than sandwich (I took Nasi Lemak)

– They had reception boys, not girls!

– Intercontinental ballroom rocks!:D

– I love their wedding, although I was completely wasted by the end of it. Used my reserve energy to drive home.

Alritie, here’s the slideshow:D

Change of role

My laptop decided to be a desktop, because the battery is no longer working. Good on ya, no more meetings at Coffee Beans:D Now… should I buy a new battery to revive a 2 year old laptop or buy a new laptop to replace this 2 year old “desktop” 😀 Let’s consult the “包吃多多计算机”.

Blue and Gold and a little conversation

While waiting for the tea ceremony, the couple managed to squeeze in a little time for themselves:D

I know it’s abit late to post, but I just woke up after napping in the living room. Had a shower and now feeling… sleepy again. Good night everyone 8)

大年初三 part 2

Since I didn’t go on any visits this year (again), I spent most of the time at my parent’s place and at home practising flying my latest toy. And I nearly choked on half a kilogram of bak kwa and white wine. Good thing I didn’t die. Not very funny to be found half naked with bak kwa and white wine beside me. Not very cool:P

On the 3rd day of CNY, I paid my grandma a visit. Everytime I see her, she gets older by a year, that’s how often I see my grandma. She’s 95 this year, although her senses and mind isnt as alert, her voice seem to get louder every year. When she saw me, she asked my uncle, “who’s this?”. My heart sank a little (that’s what happens when you visit old folks once a year). After “introducing” myself by screaming at her one foot away (not the most polite way, but it works), she finally remembered me and that memory seem to come together with the rest of my family members as she started asking about my brother, sister… etc. Questions are quite similar as last year (see last year’s post), except a little updated.

She told me, “I heard from you dad that you are… taking photographs for people?”, then she went on, “how much are you earning?”, “do you earn enough?”, “$100?”, “$200?”, “got $300?”. I was pretty amused, I said “yes”. Looks like grandma knows quite abit about the wedding photography market:D

When she asked if I’m going to stay over for dinner, I said no. I don’t have alot of memories of me having dinner (besides her birthday) with grandma. Perhaps, just one that stuck with me for a long time when I was really young. I remembered pouring huge amount of soy sauce onto my porridge and got a scolding from her. Well… not exactly the fondest memories.

The conversation revolved around the same questions over and over again. Then my uncle reminded me that it’s grandma’s birthday end of this month and if I have time, I should pop by. He added that she makes a big fuss if people forgets her birthday *noted*. Although I don’t see her very often, but everytime I see her, I feel much closer to her than the last time round. Maybe I’m growing old too. We are afterall, bonded by blood. This year, she said,

“顺顺兴兴”

I left with alot of thoughts running through me. Maybe I should really make it a point to visit them on Day 1 next year. Before that, grandma’s birthday end of this month.

On the first 2 days of CNY:D

I made it a point not to work on those 2 days. Yes, I checked my email, but I’ll only reply after my holiday. Visiting isn’t my kind of thing, so I kept it to the minimum.

So what have I been doing? Since I don’t spend money buying new clothes, I got myself a new toy:D In fact, two. Couple of days back, I headed down to a hobby shop somewhere in Chinatown. 2 hours later, I lugged back 2 Remote Control helicopters. Okie! I know… it’s crazy. I have never seen that thing in action before and I know nuts about flying a heli. Easy now… so now, I’m going to learn how to fly one.

Spent the last 2 days crashing the first heli all over my living room, bedroom, anywhere with space and not much wind. We had some pretty close calls with my TV, windows, the two dogs and erm… my neighbour’s car:s After 2 days of practice, I’m a very happy man. Now I can fly pretty comfortably with that heli, at the expense of all the spare rotor blades that came with it. Next, I’ll have to fix up the bigger heli after I clear some work in the next few days. Can’t wait to fly that bugger outdoors!
