This is pretty random. Random things go through my tiny brain every now and then.
The Singapore Pledge
We, the citizens of Singapore
Pledge ourselves as one united people
Regardless of race, language or religion
To build a democratic society
Based on justice and equality
So as to achieve happiness, prosperity & progress for our nation
We used to recite this every day in school. I did it for a good 10 years. Ok, I admit, at (many) times I just lip sync. I have no idea how it’s being taught in school now. During my time in school, no one explained to us what the pledge means (not that I’ll be interested anyway). Sometimes, just sometimes, we tend to forget what we recited for 10 over years.
I remember they made this part of the National Day songs… maybe they should make a techno version this year.
For those who have seen me, you should know that I’m actually not a very tall person, more like an overgrown dwarf, hobbit… whatever, you get the idea. Some say, vertically challenged. Sometimes it works against me, but sometimes not. Like when I was in Holland, I could actually navigate between the legs of the people there:)
Today, my height worked for me again. Our kitchen lamp has been out of order for almost a week now, which means, we’ve been cooking instant noodles using our mobile phone lights:) Then I decided to “assign” (read: arrow) my housemate to buy the lights. When I came home just now, he complained that the starter isnt’ working as well. You see, since he already bought the lamp, so I’m kinda obligated to buy the starter. But I said, I can’t reach the lamp. He INSISTED I could and even ask me to climb up the ladder to try!! That dumbass.
So I went up and… I missed the mark by probably 2 cm. Woohoo!! Rarely do you see people getting so happy because of their lack of height. He just said, “why did your parents make you so short?” to which I said, “to piss you off mate”:P That dumbass is going to buy the starter and put it up tomorrow so we won’t be BBQ-ing in the dark on Sunday:) Oh yes, and that stupid rat that’s driving the two dogs crazy, my advice is, LEAVE before we BBQ you as well.
Alritie, I’m leaving for Kyra’s birthday party!:)

…since I attended a wedding, as a guest. You know, that kind that have to give red packets:P j/k. Edwin, the guy who started wedding photography with me invited me to his wedding dinner tonight. It feels strange to be sitting down in a wedding banquet. When I saw him, he jokingly asked me, “didn’t bring your camera?”. I replied, “can you just let me be normal for once?”
I left halfway through the dinner as I felt a little unwell, I think the flu bug has caught up. Need to get some medication tomorrow. Can’t believe we ran out of panadols. While I was driving back in the heavy downpour, alot of random thoughts (with regards to weddings) went through my mind.
I think, I prefer to be special (abnormal if you like).
something extra:
my super duper cool looking dry cabinet arrived today! my camera equipments got their home upgraded from tents to bungalow now!:D
new tricks from wakeboarding. manage to land some 2 wake toeside 180s. i’m loving my board, it’s giving me consistency. but i dropped it and it got scratched:(
tomorrow, more work to do… hopefully the fever goes away. else i’m going to call in for MC. where’s my mirror?
.
Well, what it means is… “clear the scene”. You know how sometimes when you are shooting a Pre-Wedding or anything that’s staged in a public area, there bound to be people who like to stand around and look? It irritates the hell out of me, because sometimes it affects my shots, especially when they stand behind me. Today, we had this same problem. So what did I do?
Turned around and started shooting them. Man, do they run like Usain Bolt…
If you wanna watch, be prepared to join in. Else, just mind your own business.

The other day, while I was driving around, I saw something familiar (to some folks, it looks like a talisman). It’s an ERP gantry. I think that’s where they build it!! I’m not suggesting anything:)
*Paging INFIDELS*
But seriously, I think road hoggers are the source. Man, if you drive so freaking slow, keep to the other lanes. The right lane is an OVERTAKING lane. OVERTAKING, you understand? Snails crawl in gardens, they don’t DRIVE on the roads. Good thing Singapore didn’t legalize firearms. Even if they did, they probably will tell you,
Don’t drive and shoot. Be a man, do the right thing.
So much for a Friday. Woohoo… my prints look good!:D
I was flipping though yesterday’s Straits Times during breakfast and saw this news… Fann (Wong) getting married!!! (in case you missed it… go “finally!”). Seems like Chris already proposed and wedding preps are ongoing. First question, who’s shooting her wedding?:) I know… occupational hazard.
