Contrast

Today, I see hope in this world. Nah, not because Obama is going to save the world. While I was exiting the petrol kiosk, a Nissan Cefiro actually gave way to me!! To top it off, a lady driver. Thanks, whoever you are:D

Kenji and Kago, our resident doorbells. The black one is the smarter one. Reminds me of the election…

apple

Remember my Nokia start up screen? This one reminds me of the Apple Ipod ad? I can hear a bunch of people out there screaming, “can’t see face again!”… duh! I know I won’t make it as a passport photo photographer.

Gene and Su Lin

I have been getting comments that I’m not posting slideshows anymore. Well, I think I’d like to keep some to show people when they are at my place rather than showing everything on my blog. In future, I’ll just put up one on the 7th of every month. But for today, I’m making up for October’s.

One of the most hilarious wedding I’ve ever shot. When I first met Gene and Su Lin, Gene looked serious. Su Lin always refer him to the bald headed guy. Due to the lack of bridesmaid on the bride’s side, we have a gatecrash session with more than 5 guys on each side and only a lady. When you get guys on opposing sides, hell breaks loose. I was literally watching “porn” at the corridor. The poor video guy had to censor majority of it for the highlights. Well, another highlight for me, I had a stomachache halfway through the gatecrash and requested that I get into the house first. Shit happens sometimes…

The dinner was pretty exceptional as well. I’ve never heard speeches so funny before. No reservations at all. From parents, friends and the bride and groom themselves. Not the most polictically correct speech. In fact, none at all.

To Gene and Su Lin, thank you for having me at your wedding. Everytime I feel down, I’d think of you guys. It always makes my day a little brighter:) And thanks for the fantastic breakfast at your place. We’ll definitely catch up again soon.

food for the soul

What makes the soul of music? I wonder. What makes the soul of an image? …

Tips and Tricks

Sometimes when I look at the images, I ask myself “Did I mould the couples or are they like that?” I guess I try to bring out their potential in front of the camera. Some tricks is worth taking home (eg. holding hands, keeping the eyes close while kissing… etc).

It has been a really busy week, but I have to say I love it.

started with lines

When I picked up photography not too long ago. A friend showed me a picture, he asked, “what do you see?”. I said, “lines”. Sometimes, it gets a little too technical. Then things get a little more complicated along the way. I learned and experimented on light. As I photographed more people and talked to them, I realized, we need to see the soul as well.

Ok, let’s not get too abstract here. It’s a complicated world. Here’s something I like.
