Kids

Kids at weddings

Kids and weddings are like an item. You see them at most weddings decked like a miniature version of the couple. Sometimes, I get to catch them in their moments. But more often that not, I will need to spend time building up some rapport. I don’t know what they see in me, but I seem to have a way with kids. This is one of the weddings that I manage to capture more than just a handful of photos of just ONE kid. You would agree that he is one expressive boy.

Children Room: Why are you in my room?

Low five through the glass.

Ok, since there’s so many people watching, let’s make a run for it!

My champagne bottle

Because sitting on the chair is too mainstream.

What a charmer.

Confetti

“Every wedding, you will see this, without fail!”

That’s what David from Livestudios exclaimed when we saw kids picking up confetti on last Sunday’s wedding. I agreed with him and said that confetti attract kids and it’s probably a good sign for ‘早生贵子’. So yes, if you want kids, go with confetti (yes, I made this up, but traditions have to start somewhere:D). This was from another wedding that I shot earlier last month and the patterns on the carpet works nicely on this one.

it’s a kind of magic

A few days back, someone asked me how long I’ve been shooting. Coming to 8. Then today someone asked me the same thing and then asked me if I’m tired of shooting after 8 years. It’s funny because no one actually asked me if I’m tired of living, after  like… many many years:x Well, truth is, I still love what I’m doing very much. I’m not saying here so that you think that I’ve lost my passion. If there’s anything that will I will lose first, it’s probably my patience. The last I checked, it’s still within healthy levels.

I just want to say something that came to my mind today. You can spend an entire lifetime doing something you don’t enjoy and still end up with nothing. If you have something you want to do, just do it.

I just had KFC.

快点!!

Julius and his cousin on the swing. I don’t think I would  even go on the swing when it’s going that high. And Julius learned a new chinese word there… “快点”!! When we were his age, we played on the same swing. Those days, things were built to last.

not quite used to this…

… but certainly enjoyed the attention:D

it wasn’t me

revving up the engines

After a mild disruption last week, the photo editing machine is back in order. Spent the entire day meeting clients and did up some albums. It’s always nice to end the day doing something more personal. Looking back at those images I took the past week is like a walk down memory lane. This boy is just too cute.

Good Sunday everyone!:D

I hope you guys had a good weekend!:D
