i am the humanitarian?

…that is because they don’t have a category for terrorist.

Your result for The Perception Personality Image Test…

HFPS – The Humanitarian

You perceive the world with particular attention to humanity. You focus on what’s in front of you (the foreground) and how that fits into the larger picture. You are also particularly drawn towards the shapes around you. Because of the value you place on humanity, you tend to seek out other people and get energized by being around others. You like to deal directly with whatever comes your way without dealing with speculating possibilities or outcomes you can’t control. You are in tune with all that is around you and understand your life as part of a larger whole. You prefer a structured environment within which to live and you like things to be predictable.

feels very x-men to me

Yes, this picture.

Now I’m really hungry. I think I need food. Some updates, I decided to put the wakeboard purchase on hold (again)! Chris told me it’ll be better if he lend me his board (nothing to complain since it’s a ronix ONE:D) since he won’t be wakeboarding for awhile. Alritie mate, I think that’s a good suggestion. I’ll get mine in time to come when I decide to do cable a little more seriously.

Kek Sim

Yes, I’ve been posting alot of happy/gossipy stuff. Today, let me just sit back for awhile and think, besides all the happy things that are going on…

When my mum was young, she’d sometimes grandma sighing. She’ll ask her why. Grandma told her, she’s “kek sim” (I don’t know how to do a good translation, but those in the hokkien/teochew dialect group should know the meaning). Mum asked, what is “kek sim”. She said, when you grow older, you’ll know. Grandma died young (before I was born).

Mum told me the same thing when I was younger. I often wonder why and what makes someone “kek sim”. Either by chance or by choice or perhaps a combination of both, I finally found out. Now I understood, why grandma died young. She was not happy.

Anger management

Once in a while, I’ll pick up the papers if I happen to be near a newspaper vendor. Today is just one of those days. First, I turned the last pages where I read the Olympic news. The Cuban guy (Angel Matos) rocks!:P Alright, maybe he over reacted. But when I turned to the 2nd page, guess who over reacted?

I guess most of you have already heard of how the team manager of our table tennis team got “sacked” (even before he touch down on home soil). Only after the team won a medal from the games. If anything, it reminds me of how Andrés Escobar was executed on his homecoming after an own goal during World Cup. Welcome to the cruel world of sports. In our country, where firearms are outlawed, we use “universal rounds”. Some people seem to have more firepower than others. And how timely, right before the celebrations.

Imagine her telling the Cuban guy, “your time is up, you are out”.

Chill out at Clarke Quay

Today we decided to head down to Clarke Quay for a few drinks. I can’t remember when was the last time I drank in such a crowded and noisy place:P My friend told me the live band was good, and we weren’t disappointed. Some little observations thoughout the night…

1) There is a queue because people have to order drinks before they can get in. And some dumb people in front of me took 10mins to order 1 drink.

2) The dirty old men who pounce (yes, I see where your hands are) on the young girls selling shots. Hard earned money man…

3) The lady in front of us that spilled my drink and didn’t even apologize. Just say sorry, I won’t eat you up.

4) That guy who danced like a maniac in front of us. Man… he didn’t know all eyes were on him:P We thought he was in an Olympic boxing match.

Oh, and I caught a little of the fireworks while waiting in the queue:D Seems like Clarke Quay is a good place to catch them. We also caught the 4x100m relay where the Jamaican team broke the world record. Man… they are FAST!!!

I’m full of…

I weigh myself earlier and the scale displayed a whooping 67.x Kg!!! I’ve never felt so heavy before. Took a crap after that and weigh myself again. 65Kg. I must be eating gold. No, the toilet bowl isn’t choked. Ok, time to lose some weight, fat-barrel!:D

Fixing and broken… harddisk

Those on facebook probably know that I was fixing a broken harddisk yesterday. After buying two new ones yesterday, the old one got a little jealous and threw a fit. So I retired her temporarily till I find a better solution. The result? I lost a couple of week’s worth of emails and some invoices. From this experience I realized a few things, backup more often and I’m really glad I’m running RAID on my image drives plus backup on DVDs.

In case you think you might have communicated with me through email and waiting for a reply, I hope you can just drop me another mail. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
