Dreams

I don’t usually remember dreams. But the one I had last night was so vivid it’s still swirling in my head now. I saw huge baskets FULL of DURIANS at my place!!! I’m sure… it’s a SIGN:P

Red Cliff

I’m suffering from a little hangover from last night’s drinking (I didn’t drink much, but I think my ageing body is not taking alcohol very well) with my old pals. Did a little work, replied some emails and spend the rest of the day trying to get rid of the persistent headache. Then I decided, I should watch a movie alone. Red Cliff.

With a star studded cast (Takeshi Kaneshiro, Tony Leung, Lin Chi Ling, etc), it already made my S$7.50 very worth it. I can’t help but imagine the phonebooks that Tony Leung must be standing on when playing alongside with Chi Ling. Although I think she’s pretty, but Takeshi is the one that stole the limelight. The scriptwriters definitely make him look damn cool with all those witty lines.

Overall, it’s a nice movie, but I was expecting something better. Felt like LOTR part 1. I hope the sequel will be much better. Hopefully, better fighting scenes. Somehow, I think I’d love a Lee Ang version more. Let’s see how the sequel perform:)

And the next movies in my list. The Mummy and Money not enough 2. The trailers, as usual, look really promising. Let’s see if they live up to expectations.

yes, we topped the list:P

From the Today paper.

SMALL DOGS SNAP MORE

———————–
PARIS – Small dogs, especially dachshunds, are likelier to attack strangers and other dogs compared with pit bulls, rottweilers and other macho breeds, a study published on Wednesday revealed.

Researchers in the United States surveyed owners of 30 breeds of dogs to assess how the pets responded to a variety of common stimuli and situations.

Dachshunds, chihuahuas and Jack Russell terriers topped the list for aggressiveness, while Brittany spaniels, greyhounds and whippets were the most docile.

The study appears in Applied Animal Behaviour Science, a journal published by the Dutch group Elsevier. AFP

———————————————————————-

And yes! Both Kenji and Kago topped the most aggressive list:P Alright, we ran out of dog food, tonight you boys go out and hunt for humans ok?:P

I’m sure they won’t bite strangers. But I can’t guarantee they won’t hump you!:D

he typed…

“XCGT Y R V CVVB “

That’s what my 10 month old nephew wrote to me on MSN :) Can’t wait to go there and play with him. That kid rocks!:D

being asian (or chinese)

Ok, please don’t take this too seriously… 😛 Not all chinese are like that…

During my trip to Manado, everytime we come up from a dive, other divers will be talking about how beautiful the sea creatures were. I, being the only chinese (at least for the Lembeh trip), will be thinking… what’s the best way to prepare them (black pepper crab topped with anemone, braised shark’s fins with crabmeat… tsk tsk. Can’t control it man… it’s an instinct:P

Among the list of things… sharks, turtles, pufferfish, octopus, sea urchins, crabs, lobsters, sea cucumbers, cuttlefish and many many more!! See what I mean? We’ve probably seen all that the ocean have to offer on our dining table rather than their natural habitat.

I used to think, if you don’t serve shark’s fin on your wedding dinner, I’ll give you something extra for the wedding:D Am still thinking about it.

“fat-barrel” can’t jump

To alot of Singapore men my age, this is the most dreaded sms.

“You are required to attend RT”

I got this surprise message a couple of days back. Surprise because I passed mine every year during reservist. Puzzled, I called them up and realize I am listed as “failed” in their records. Here’s how the conversation with the Relations Officer (they’ve got really nice titles these days) went,

me: I’m calling to check why I was called up for RT since I passed mine last Dec.

RO: Let me check… oh, it says you failed…

me: which item?

RO: standing broad jump

me: what?

RO: hmmm… it says 22cm…

me: *ROFL* how do you jump 22cm?

RO: that’s right… hmmm… there must be a mistake somewhere…

So, the whole story is, there’s a data entry error at my unit. It was supposed to be 229cm, not 22cm. I saw that error before I out processed in Dec. The guys promised to change it. Apparently, that didn’t happen. 22cm!!! I must’ve broken the record for the shortest jump:)

That said, that reminds me, my $200 reward.

I’m suffering…

…from holiday hangover.

And the only way not to have a hangover… is to stay holidaying:D I am determined and I know I won’t let myself suffer!! I’m planning my next holiday!!:D Checked through my schedule… seems like I have a good chance of going off in Oct or Nov:D

Let me set up a smooth system first. Oh yes, can do some housekeeping… The room looks… erm, worse than it ever been:P

Tired

Had my first shoot after the holiday. I really enjoyed my holiday and was a little worrid I might not get used to working again:P Maybe this is not work, because I really enjoy shooting weddings. When I look at the schedule, I can’t help but smile to myself. Be at the hotel at 845am (enough time to charge my solar powered body):D

It’s a small wedding and I found out that the bride’s sister and bf was on the same plane as me from Manado. They too, were there for diving!:D How small can this world get? I had a good time shooting the wedding. Small wedding, very fun people (very seldom will you see grandparents dancing to pussy cat dolls), very cosy feeling. If I ever get married… this is what I want!:P

By the end of the day when things slowed down, I was totally wiped out. I was having a little trouble keeping my eyes opened when I was driving back. Good thing the autopilot function works.

I felt tired. The very happy kind.
