Mika is a black and tan Shiba Inu born in Singapore on 10th September 2015. We bought him from a local breeder and brought him home at 7 weeks old. He’s been staying in Singapore all his life until we relocated in Toronto, Canada in 2021. While it will only be for a year, the change in environment is immense, for better or worse. This is our journey together.
While I did had dogs before when I was younger, the appreciation of having a dog was quite different then and now. Learning to live with one just isn’t the same as “owning” one. Curiosity led me to learn more about animal behaviors and how to allow them not just live, but thrive in an ever changing environment that even humans have difficulty coping. I hope I do him right where I failed in my previous dogs.
