The first post

I’ve been working on this blog for the longest time, but have been putting it off due to many reasons, most of it because of competing platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, where I can easily post things without having to go through editing via the wordpress platform. It was just easier, however, not without its limitations, especially when it comes to layout. I hope I can keep up with this, just like how I used to many years back.

Through this platform, I will share my our journey with Mika, our 6 year old Shiba Inu and some of the stuff we are doing as a family. What better way to start since we are currently in Canada where he gets to go on nice trails, play in the snow and enjoy the cool weather. While I don’t always have something to talk about, I will try to post as many photos as I can possibly manage. Here are some for a start.

Trip to Hilton Falls during the beginning of autumn.
The latest trip to Durham Regional Forest during winter. While the snow had thawed over the week, it began snowing midway through our walk. The kid was obviously thrilled.
My solo hike with Mika at Durham Regional Forest. 11.5km on glorious snow.
A self portrait with Mika at Durham Regional Forest.
The kids at Niagara Glen. It is a beautiful trail with lots of rock formations. A vastly different landscape from many trails we’ve been to.
Our first trip out of town to Prince Edward County.
At one of the few dog friendly beaches at Prince Edward County.
A trip to nearby High Park. One of the fond memories where we took public transport to a park.
